Ed Zielinski's 1977 Grand Prix SJ

1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ, 400 (Z) 6.6 litre Pontiac engine, TH400, Firethorn Red exterior (originally Brentwood Brown) with Tan interior. The Grand Prix was purchased new by Ed's parents and later sold to his grandparents. In the mid 80's Ed got the car from them as his first car and has owned it ever since. The car was garaged after it logged 100,000 miles. During the last decade or so the engine was partially rebuilt (broken lifters & cam replaced, carb rebuilt). It also has had some body work and a few body parts replaced . In 1998 it was re-painted Firethorn red.

The car has been garaged during the winter and used occasionally in the summers since then. This past year Ed's used the car as a daily driver and really enjoyed it. Most of restoration work has been done by Ed and his dad. Ed is still tweaking the engine to get it to run stronger and would love to see a little more of the 400'spotential realized in the coming year(s).
