Jim and Cindy Hamm's '67 GTO clone

This is Jim and Cindy Hamm's 67 GTO clone that they purchased in 2001. The exterior color (not original) is bright red with black & charcoal gray interior. It's powered by a 1971 400 engine with 1968 #16 heads, a mild cam, a performer intake w/1" spacer and a 650 race demon DP carb. Exhaust gases runs through Hooker Super Comp headers and muffled by Flowmasters. The trans is a TH400 with a B & M shift kit & trans cooler. The wheels are American Racing with B.F. Goodrich T/A radials.

Since the purchase the Hamms pulled the engine and trans to detail them. They replaced gaskets as needed and detailed the engine bay. A new windshield was in place at the time of purchase and they replaced the rear window. In addition, the car received a 3.23 posi unit, new interior that included a new dash harness with ralley gauges.

Future plans are to upgrade the suspension and equip the car with disc brakes all the way around (and hopefully a gear vendors overdrive).

Usage: This is a summer weekend driver. The Hamms take a trip or two to their hometown in Illinois. It's been driven to Byron Dragstrip but not raced. If gas prices come down this summer (2005) they plan on taking a road trip to visit their eldest child.
